GIVEAWAY DAY IS FINALLY HERE

I’m so excited to participate in Sew Mama Sew’s famous giveaway day.  I’ve wanted to join in the fun for the past two years but didn’t get it together.  Now the timing is just right and I’m happy to offer two handmade zippered pouches (made by me!) and a surprise bag of scraps.  They will be at least 5″ X 5″ and be good, very good!  So, to be picked you just need to answer a simple question or two:

1. When you go to craft fairs, how much to you budget, if you budget an amount, or do you act purely on impulse?  Would you ever consider spending a large amount on one particular thing (over $100 for example)

or:

2:  How much would you spend on a handmade, lined, zippered pouch if you wanted to buy one at a craft bazaar?  Of course, made with high quality fabrics.

I will pick a winner at random from the comments on Friday.  Please include an email in your comments and subscribe to my blog if you want to- no pressure though!  Happy Holidays!

Here’s the loot:

Good Luck!

  1. Great giveaway, Gabrien! I just love Giveaway Day!

  2. Jen says:

    So super cute!
I think zipper bags should be $10 to $20 depending on size and constuction. I’ll always pen more on something if it’s well made!

  3. Erica says:

$12! Yours are lovely. Thanks for the giveaway!

  4. Genevieve says:

I think I’d spend between $8 for a small and $15 for a larger one?

Your zippered pouches are SO lovely. Love the orange one especially!
    Genevieve

  5. Corrin says:

    $10.75 is a good price.

  6. Colleen says:

Thank you for a lovely giveaway. I am basing what cost I think on the ones in your pictures. I would pay $12- $15 – thanks again! I think I already follow your blog!

  7. Alda says:

I would think about $10. Thanks for the great give away.
    Happy Holidays.
    Alda, Fl

  8. I have found that designer fabrics do not get their money back at craft fairs. Items in the $5-6 dollar range sell best for me. People are often looking for a little something for a co-worker, stocking stuffer, etc. On etsy though, I’d pay $10. Designer fabrics always do really well there as sometimes people are sometimes looking for things made with specific prints.

  9. Well personally, I wouldn’t spend anything on them because I would say to myself, “oh, I could make these, these are really really cute.” And of course then I wouldn’t get around to making them and wish I bought them.

I think at $10 they would get snatched right up. Consider the fabric you used and the time to make them and then price them up from there.

  10. Krista says:

If well-made and lined, with cute fabrics, I’d say $10-12 depending on size. These are awesome! Thanks for the giveaway!

  11. Liz Mouse says:

I just started making these myself thanks to a cute tutorial. I too have been wondering how much to charge. I think $10 for a small and basic one and up to $18 for one that has bells and whistles like decorative top stitching, embellishments like ruffles or sewn on buttons or appliques.

    Thanks,
    liz@mommysaidsew.com

  12. Jingle says:

These are really cute! I would probably put them around $12 or so. That seems reasonable so you will sell lots of them, but it doesn’t undervalue them, either.

  13. Jodie says:

I love little bags! I’d pay $15-$20 depending on size and how many fabrics are included in the design. But if they were priced closer to $10/each, I’d snap up a bunch for friends!
    Great giveaway!
    🙂

  14. Rebekah says:

    I was thinking $15.

  15. Amy V says:

Lovely bags. I would spend $15 to $20 depending on size. Thanks!

  16. Michele says:

Depending on the size, $8-$12. Unless they’re huge, then a bazillion. Yours are really cute!

  17. TroyJennene Gibbs says:

I love those zippered bags. I think about $12-$15 would be a decent price to expect folks to pay without getting carried away on the price. They would make a nice gift I may say so myself

    sewfuntoys on etsy

  18. Willa says:

I agree. Price to about $20. Depending on size and construction. I have some without zips that sell for that range too.

  19. Aimee says:

I would have to say you could get better than $10 on those, as they look well made & they’re cute.

  20. Lisa says:

Awesome giveaway…my fingers are crossed! Thanks for hosting!

  21. Stephanie says:

I sell my pouches for $10-$25 depending on size. Most of them are $18 though (I use a lot of designer and imported fabrics).

  22. deanna says:

i am obsessed with the little pouches recently! yay

  23. Stacy says:

I would buy one for $10. Thanks for the giveaway!

  24. Violet says:

I would pay $6 but 1. Maybe I am cheap and 2. Maybe in a bigger city you could charge more? I am not helpful lol

  25. kimberlee says:

those pouches are so pretty!! um, I’m not the best person to ask how much I’d spend, maybe $10 and higher with more embellishments, like satin ribbon/lining, etc.

  26. Great giveaway. Can’t wait to see whats in the mystery bag!

  27. Sarah says:

I’d say between $10-$15, depending on the size. I’m sure a lot of work goes into them, so I wouldn’t expect less than that!

  28. Leigh says:

Depending on size, I’d say $10-15 range. That little brown bag is so intriguing!

  29. karen peachey says:

cute pouches. you should get 10-12.00 for them.

  30. jessica says:

very cute! i’d pay between $8-15 for a zipper pouch, depending on the size…

  31. Carol says:

These are adorable! I would think that if you kept the price at or even slightly under $10 you would have success. My very first thought was that at $7.50 they would seem like a don’t-pass-up item.

When I walk around our Farmer’s Market, I have just a limited amount of cash in my pocket and anything above $10 requires me to think about it a lot more and I’m less likely to spend – unless that is what I specifically came for. These would make great gifts for co-workers or teachers or stocking stuffers.
~Cheap skate from a big city

  32. hilary says:

I’d spend $10 on a handmade pouch (and more if I didn’t know how to make them myself)!

  33. nellana says:

I would say probably $8-10. Thanks for the giveaway.

  34. Sharon says:

I probably wouldn’t pay anything cause i could Theoretically make one myself — but of course i probably wouldn’t. I think you have some good info here with $8 – $15 as a range. It really depends on 1 – whether you want to be paid fairly for your time or 2 – want them to fly (or sell at all) – Sadly these two goals are often at odds. I have a friend who makes card cases from designer fabrics and sells them for $5 — she says she can do this cause a) she can make around 20-30 an hour and b) she is using what she considers to be “scraps” from her larger projects while another friend sells hers for 12 – 14 the difference being that she BUYS special fabrics especially for her pouches and focuses on japanese (expensive) prints. Probably more than you ever wanted to know 🙂

  35. thepricklypinecone says:

I would spend $10 on a small pouch and upto $18 for a larger one.

  36. Becky says:

At a bazaar $8-10. But from an online shop $10-$15. Why the difference??? I have no idea, but it’s just what I’d do:)
    beckymac1@hotmail.com

  37. Lisa says:

I would pay between $8-$12 depending on size and fabric. Thanks for the giveaway!

  38. Nelly says:

i think the most i would spend would be 15 dollars!

nelly dot barney at yahoo dot com

  39. Jenny Scott says:

I’d spend $8-$15 depending on the size and fabrics used. 🙂

  40. craftytammie says:

    I’d say $10 – not much more, because I don’t spend more than $20 on a whole purse! 🙂

  41. Oh how I love mystery scraps! just the thought has made my day. I suppose if I were to purchase the above zipper pouches I would expect to pay $8-$10. Maybe $15 if I was super in love with the fabric. Thanks for the chance to win!

  42. Samantha says:

I’d say $10-12? Thanks for offering the giveaway!

  43. Kacey says:

    i’d say $7-10…

  44. Suzanne says:

$8-10 sounds good to me for a zipper pouch. Good luck!

  45. I agree — it depends on the size. For a hand-held size, I think I would hesitate at anything over $12. I really enjoy the color selections in the two you’re giving away! Thanks for the chance.

  46. Greeblygreebly says:

I’d pay 8-$10 for a pouch like that. $10 is one of those price points that seems to stick with people so if it was under ten, even just under it might sell better than over 10.

  47. About $10. slj4981 at g mail dot com

  48. Katie says:

I’d say $8-$10. Thanks for the chance!

  49. Depends on the size, but maybe $8-$12. They are pretty cute though, so maybe I’d be willing to go to $15.

P.s. I’m doing a giveaway too, so feel free to hop on by!

  50. Bryanna says:

I think they should cost about $10-15 depending on the size and whether or noth there is a pocket inside, and overall finished look. Thanks for a chance!

  51. Ashley says:

These are so sweet! I’m new to sewing, so I love getting other people’s scraps to build my stash! I think I’d spend $8- $12 depending on size and color. Hope this helps!

  52. Lizzie says:

I was going to say something in the $12 range, but was worried that might be way off – but from the other comments it seems to be right in the middle of what most people think!

Oh, and I particularly like the orange and brown one – super cute fabric!

  53. Denise says:

i’d say anywhere from 10-20 depending on size, craftmanship, detailing, etc. 🙂

  54. Alyssa says:

Honestly, I am kind of a skinflint, so I would maybe pay $6. But judging by similar things I’ve see at fairs/markets, maybe $10-12? They are really pretty and sturdy looking.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  55. Amy says:

Cute pouches! I would probably pay around $12. Thanks for the chance to win 🙂

  56. victoria says:

I would probably spend about about $5, even though they are probably worth way more, because I can sew (even if I never did make them) my thought is always-oh I can make that.

I would love to win these pretty ones, thanks for the opportunity!

  57. I’d spend $8- $10. Thanks for the exciting giveaway!

  58. Elizabeth says:

    Fabric scraps YAY!!!

    $10-$15 is what I’d pay… and I’m totally an impulse spender 😀

    Happy Holidays!

    zabecc(at)hotmail(dot)com

  59. Jamie says:

#2-I think $15 sounds about right.

  60. duff says:

I don’t budget for craft fairs; I rely on impulse! If I see something I like and need, I just buy it. I typically don’t think about the price because I know how much time is spent on handmade items. The zippered pouches pictured are just darling! I would spend about $10 on each ( I live in a rural area, not urban which I think makes a difference also).
thanks for the giveaway & I hope i win a zippered pouch!!
    ♥Duff

  61. Maya says:

It depends on the craft fair. If I am going to a fiber fair I budget about $150. I would be willing to spend about $15 to $20 on a really nice zippered pouch. I would also depend on pockets, size, etc. I have a hard time dropping a large amount of money on one item cause I want to share the love.

I often will go through a craft fair once just to look and meet people. Talking to people is a real seller for me. If I feel a connection to someone rather than being ignored I am more likely to buy from them. The second trip through I usually spend my money.

I think that is more info than you wanted. Haha.

  62. Tracy says:

never have a budget- I have great self control- always shop smart and spend as little money as possible on GREAT finds!

  63. abbyrich says:

I would spend up to $12. I do love a zippered pouch. And lots of em!

  64. Michelle says:

As a shopper, I am always willing to spend more on a handmade item! I’d suggest atleast $10 and no more than $20. 🙂

  65. emily says:

I’d say $10-12. Yours are super cute! And I love “mystery scraps”!!!

  66. Kristin says:

I try to budget…but usually end up buying something on impulse!

    (craftymom85atgmaildotcom)

  67. Becky says:

Your bags are so cute! I’d pay $10-$20 depending on the size and fabrics.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  68. Jessica says:

I usually budget to spend about $20 at craft fairs. But I haven’t been to very many. Most the time when I go I just look at things and not buy. Maybe it’s the poor college family budget we have. But someday I hope to support others items more often. What a great giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win.

    justenoughstyle.blogspot.com

  69. CUTE stuff! 🙂

I usually budget $20 for craft fairs because money’s tight (i don’t go to many unfortunately). And i probably wouldn’t spend more than $10 on a zipped pouch (depending on size of course)

  70. auntnoenoe says:

I can’t take more than $40 to a craft fair. If I see something I really love, I get the artist’s card/etsy shop and visit after I’ve gone home. I’m too much of an impulse shopper to take an overflowing wallet!

  71. Jen says:

    I’d pay $10-$12 for a pouch.

  72. Becca says:

Probably about 5 to 10 dollars(depending on the size/fabrics/and how rich I am at the moment), I’m a thrift store shopper and really cheap, sorry.

  73. Jody says:

I just generally have an idea of how much I would want to spend that day. But if something great game along I’d definitely jump on it. Like the 80+ year old wrought iron bed I bought at a barn sale. Didn’t plan on it, but it found me.

  74. MzKitty says:

    Impulse shopper here!

    $15-20

  75. robin says:

I really wouldn’t pay much more than $6-7 for a small zippered pouch. Probably not what you wanted to hear! LOL And I don’t spend much at a time at craft sales – probably not more than $30 total.

  76. Margaret says:

I’d say $$10 to $12. Yours are pretty cute!

  77. Shana Putnam says:

I think I would pay $12-$15 for a zippered pouch. Very cute by the way.

  78. Debra says:

I probably would spend about twelve dollars and my budget depends on the items.

  79. Katie says:

It would depend on the item whether or not I would spend $100. Being of the crafty nature I’ve always looked to the stuff I like as inspiration and try to find a way to make it myself. You’re bags look very nicely made, I could see spending $10-15 on them easily.

  80. Stacy says:

Basing my jusgement on the one pictured, I would pay around $10 for it. Thanks for the chance to win!

  81. Susan G says:

Generally speaking I try to NOT go over $100. at a craft show or convention. Sometimes I may have a smaller budget. ONE time, my budget was increased as I won a $100 shopping spree at a convention, PLUS hubby went with me, as my friend was sick (she was supposed to go with me) and he treated me to the BIND-IT-ALL, and board covers and address page inserts and journal inserts to make books to sell at craft shows ( and the fishing Flea markets we vend at, so obviously they would be a fishing or nautical theme)

The pouch question… it would have to depend on the size…make-up bag size $6-8
bigger like maybe 8x 8 $8-10 and so on.

    Thanks for the opportunity!
    Susan

  82. melissa says:

Love your pouches!!! I would gladly spend about $10 for a well made and pretty zippered pouch. I love using them in my purse for a wide variety of things and tend to have several in there at any given time.
Thanks for hosting! Happy Christmas season to you and yours:)

  83. Hannah says:

I’d say $8 – $10 would be a reasonable price for a small to medium sized zippered pouch.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  84. Liz says:

Always an impulse shopper at craft bazaars. I have spent more than a hundred dollars on something. The best bazaars are always around christmas, but I love to hit the little craft fairs through out the year.

  85. Mary Kaplan says:

love your little bags! thanks for participating.

  86. Krystina says:

Budget depends on the type of craft fair! For a lined zippered pouch, between 8 – 25 bucks depending on the size!

  87. SheilaC says:

I would pay between $8 – $10 for a small bag. I probably wouldn’t buy a more expensive item unless the seller took credit cards since I never go to the craft fair with more than $40 on me.

Thank you for the great give away

    SheilaC

  88. I normally give myself about $100 dollars. When it is gone it is gone 🙂

  89. cadamsworship says:

I have never been to a craft fair – can you believe it? I have just started investigating the on-line community of crafters and it is wonderful what you all do with your creativity! I really like your ideas. If I did go to a craft fair, there would be no way I’d spend a large amount on anything – unless someone donated the money to me! My husband is not a big fan of me spending money on my craftiness, so I have learned to do most of my stuff with recycled, freecycled, and donated materials and equipment (I don’t even own a sewing machine or sewing shears!). Thanks for the great giveaway!

  90. Sandy says:

I’m an impulse shopper and can talk myself into buying anything if I love it enough!

  91. Catherine says:

I never go in with a budget, I just bring some cash (and my check book, just in case) and buy what I love. However, I don’t usually buy things I could make myself, which means I don’t buy very much! And in general I’m kind of frugal when it comes to stuff for myself, so I’m not in danger of overspending.
And for a zippered pouch… probably anywhere up to $15. I love pouches, especially the ones that can fit my sock knitting projects and be stuffed into my purse, or else smaller ones to hold knitting notions and small knitting needles.

  92. Cortney says:

I think about $10 is a good price for a pouch! Thank you for the chance to win!!

  93. Tabitha says:

I buy on impulse at craft fairs, but the quality needs to be good and the product fairly unique. I tend not to spend in the $100 range unless I talk w/my husband 1st (not that permission is needed!). I have been know to come back with him and purchase expensive items, though!

  94. Karen says:

I usually don’t have a particular budget amount in my head when I go to a craft fair and I would certainly spend a large amount if 1) I could afford it at the time and 2) if I thought the item was worth it.

  95. Sarah says:

Love those pouches!!! My birthday is Dec. 17th, so winning would make the day even better!

I’ve never been to a craft fair. My city is really small and we haven’t had one that i know of. However, if I were to go, I would have to put myself on a strict budget, or else I know I would go crazy.

For a zippered pouch, I think I would probably pay around $10.

  96. Jessica H says:

About 15 dollars, probably. Thanks for the great giveaway! I love scraps and would make a great home for them! Also, it’s my birthday on the 17th, so I would be extra excited if I won, haha 🙂

  97. Jessica says:

I say between 10 – 20 for zippered pouches depending on the size, etc. Thanks for the chance!

  98. Cid says:

I would love to win one of your pouches. They look great.
    cidtwoatcoxdotnet

  99. Kelly O. says:

when I go to a craft fair I generally go with $60 and then bring my checkbook 🙂
I think this is a GREAT giveaway!
    Merry Christmas!

  100. Megan says:

I actually don’t go to craft fairs, shocking, right? haha But I would probably spend about $10 for the pouches. Basically add your time + material and multiply by two and you will have a decent price. Sometimes it is hard to figure out the exact cost of a small piece of fabric though! haha

  101. June says:

I don’t budget. I go and browse and try not to get caught up in spending. If I HAD to budget, it would be around $50 – and if I found a can’t miss it item I would certainly splurge.

For the pouches as pictured I would spend 10-15$. For something smaller and or simpler, 8-10$

  102. Amy says:

I think between $10-15 would be about right for me 🙂

  103. Amanda says:

I am so bad at pricing things, so other question…I don’t really budget. I am an impulsive shopper in many ways. It’s hard to plan when you don’t know what people will have for sale. I wouldn’t be bringing enough for a $100 item though. Through personal experience, big ticket items don’t seem to sell well at a bazaar.

  104. Tiffany says:

I am more of an act purely on impulse, but I do try to set a some what of a budget. I won’t normal consider spending a large amount on one thing. Unless, it something that I feel I can’t ever again, like a one of a kind or would be worth every penny or even more.

  105. MollyP says:

I usually set a budget and take only cash to fairs so I don’t overspend. However, if the right piece happened to pop up, I would splurge…to an extent. If I came across some cute standard size zip pouches (4×7″), I would be willing to pay $7-$8 a piece for them. Love yours, btw. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  106. Sarah says:

I’m a total impulse buyer at craft fairs 😉

  107. Tara says:

I generally don’t buy large items at craft fairs. I would pay between 5-10 for zippered pouches depending on size

  108. kathy h says:

I think the zippered bags should be around 10 to 15$. Thanks for the chance to win inyour great giveaway.

  109. kristie says:

I don’t really budget at craft fairs, but I am reluctant to spend more than $25 on something I hadn’t planned to get. If I was looking for a new bag or jacket, then I’d spend the $100, but not as an impulse purchase. For a zipper pouch, I’d say $20.
    kristie_keely(at)yahoo(dot)com

  110. Joy says:

All impulse, if I want it I buy it. I’d spend about $15.00.

  111. Becki says:

I never budget for a craft fair because I would most definately go over. It wouldn’t be unheard of to spend a $100 on a single item that was fantastic.

  112. wendy says:

I’m excited about the mystery scraps! I would pay up to $20 for a zippered bag.

  113. TZel says:

I would say $10 depending on size, fabric etc. Thank you!

  114. Christine says:

I’d spend anywhere from $10 to $20, depending on size of the pouch. The mystery scraps seems so cool!

  115. deborah says:

i have never gone to a craft fair, but i would have a budget set beforehand if i did. our finances are a wreck – too many months of being unemployed will do that. i would expect to pay around $20 for a pouch like this, perhaps $25? if i had the money, i would definitely make a larger purchase at a craft fair – i like supporting handmade artisans whenever i can.

very cute prizes – thanks for the chance to win!

  116. Toni says:

I haven’t been to a craft fair yet. But if I were to get a bag i’d probably expect around $8.

  117. Kate F. says:

I’m so curious about your scraps. I am such a sucker for a mystery bag! I think $12 bucks is about right for a lined zipper pouch. akmajor(at)gmail(dot)com

  118. Erika says:

I don’t take a lot of cash to craft fairs so I don’t spend way too much. If the zippered pouches were around $8 or so I’d get one.

  119. Sara says:

Hey there! Thanks for the giveaway! If I didn’t sew, I would probably pay up to $20 for a really nice zippered pouch.

  120. Carol in E TN says:

I usually have a set amount of cash money to spend, but if I see something I really want there is always a credit card to use!

  121. iampam says:

I don’t go with an amount in mind. But when I buy it is usually something of better quality than I can make.

Your zippered pouches are adorable …I would spend $15 for one.

  122. Debbie says:

I don’t have a budget when I go craft shopping and I don’t think I would ever pay $100 for something. Would love to win your giveaway!!

  123. Catherine says:

    great giveaway! I would spend 10-15$ 🙂

  124. Jenn M says:

I would say my budget is usually not more than $20 unless I’m looking for something in particular.
    Jenn

  125. Karen says:

Thanks for a great giveaway! All the best to you and yours this season and always. xox

    krencamp(at)gmail(dot)com

  126. Sara says:

Great giveaway – I think I’d pay $20 if I had it for a really nice zippered pouch, or $30 if I were rich, hehe.

If you’d like to check out my giveaway, I’m giving away a set of fabric coasters and some Heather Ross scraps at http://www.etsy.com/shop/ananemone

Happy giveaway day! The scraps are fun, huh?

  127. Candace Henderson says:

2: How much would you spend on a handmade, lined, zippered pouch if you wanted to buy one at a craft bazaar? Of course, made with high quality fabrics.
I think anywhere between 5 and 20 based on size, if it has a wristlet handle, and fabric. I think that is reasonable!
    Thanks for a great giveaway!

  128. I have to admit that I rarely go to craft shows (mostly because all the craft shows around here seem to have been taken over by Pampered Chef, etc. and people selling cheap junk mass produced in China) but I think I would pay $10-15 for one of those bags, depending on the size and the fabric.

  129. Amber says:

I can’t answer the first one because I’ve never been to a craft fair, but to answer the second one… Probably like $15-$18. Hope that helps! Your pouches are really cute 🙂

hmmm… i’m terrible at charging prices for things i create! i always feel guilty charging a lot, especially for friends. BUT, a word of advice from my quilter/crafter/sewer mom- she says take the price of your materials, and double it. hope that helps!

and when it comes to craft fairs? i hope to not spend over 100, but sometimes i don’t even spend close to that, so it eventually evens out when i over spend at one, and less at another!

  131. jessecreations says:

I’m the wrong person to ask. When I go to craft fairs I usually go with the intention of getting ideas and then making things myself. I only buy things I can’t make, like soap, candles or woodworking. I would spend $100, if I had it to spend, on something really nice like a quilt or a carved wooden thing or a large piece of art for my home, furniture, etc. For a pouch I probably wouldn’t buy one b/c I’d rather try to make one, so I would only buy one if it was pretty inexpensive, like $10 or less. But I think you could sell them to non-crafters for more than that!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  132. Holly U says:

    I’d spend about $15 on a pouch.

As for craft fair spending…several years ago I earmarked a corner of my savings account for art. Too often I’d go to a craft fair and see something amazing that was just way too much to buy impulsively. Now I can check how much is in that corner before I go, and feel free to spend up to that much for something special.

  133. StephanieS says:

I would usually spend no more than $20 at a craft fair. Something would have to totally blow me away to get me to spend even $50 or more. But that is just me. I’m not very good at impulse buying. Thanks so much for the chance to win. Happy Christmas. stephspitzer at gmail dot com

  134. Sharon T. says:

I think I’d pay $10-15 depending on the size. I don’t take much money with me to craft fairs because we’re on a pretty strict budget and as awesome as handmade lovelies are, they’re not usually things we need. But I usually have about $10-20 in my pocket, just in case. 🙂 Great giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win.

  135. Lindsay says:

I love the zippy pouches. And scraps are always fun

  136. Nancy S. says:

Great giveaway; thanks for the opportunity. I don’t budget when at craft fairs; any purchases are purely impulse purchases. And I don’t think I’d ever spend $100 on a single item at one.

  137. Alli says:

When I go to craft fairs, I act purely on impulse. 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!

  138. Danielle H. says:

Answer to question #1: personally no I wouldn’t spend that much on one item at a craft fair. However I would take the card and then think about it and maybe buy it on etsy later (if it was something we really needed/wanted). I usually have a budget and stick to it for craft fairs. I also try to have something in mind of what I’m looking for so I don’t just go crazy.

  139. I do not really budget, going to craft fairs is a tough one for me. I have this bad habit of seeing something that I can easily make and think I can make one similar to that. Now if it is unique, an unusual fabric, vintage fabric, etc. I am more inclined to buy.
If a product is well constructed I do not mind paying more, but when I see something slapped together with a big price tag (and the person is in my face to buy), I have been inclined to nicely explain why I won’t buy from them.

Thanks for a lovely giveaway, great little bags!

  140. Kathleen says:

I would say $12 – $15 for a zipper pouch, depending on size and embellishments. When I go to craft fairs, I usually have a budget to stick within, so larger purchases can be diffucult. If I do see something that I like that is currently out of my budget, I will talk to the seller and get their info for a future purchase.

  141. bonnie says:

maybe $10 to $15 depending on the size…

I usually have a limit when Im going to a craft fair…maybe $100.00 total for small stuff. But, I would go over budget for something fantastic!! I would pay $15.00-$20.00 for a small well made pouch!

  143. Jenny says:

i am definitely an impulse buyer at craft shows…i would pay $100 for the right item, although i would never have that much cash on me…hard to say how much iw ould pay for a zip bag…i always debate with myself back and forth about how i could make one for myself!! depending on size, ten to twelve dollars would be reasonalbe…Vera Bradley bags sell for a fortune, so i know people out there are willing the psend the cash! good luck!

  144. Kellie says:

I’m a total impulse shopper, but I probably wouldn’t spend over 50 bucks on one item unless it was something really special! Thanks for your generous giveaway! I love these little bags & scraps are always good!

  145. Laura says:

I usually don’t budget, but shop on impulse which drives my husband crazy, but is really fun! I don’t usually spend $100 on an item without thinking about it really hard and long. Merry Christmas!

  146. Joanna says:

I would pay $12 for one of your zippered pouches. Or $15 if I absolutely fell in love with it, which is highly likely! I don’t go to craft fairs to spend big bucks so no I wouldn’t buy one big thing for $100, unless it was extremely gorgeous and I couldn’t live without it, and it was my birthday and my hubby was feeling extra generous lol!

  147. Cammie says:

I never spend more than $30 at fairs…I usually go to them and take cards and order later. The $30 is for impulse purchases.

  148. Tiffany says:

I’m not sure… but from reading some of the previous comments, I would say $10 is a fair price. I have never been to a craft fair before, but if I did… well – I would probably just bring my husband. He would definitely keep things mellowed down!

  149. KT says:

I don’t budget when at a craft fair, just look to see what catches my eye, but I have to think long and hard about buying anything that’s $100. Under $50 and I don’t think too much. Thanks for the chance to win your great pouches!

  150. roseread says:

I’d spend about $8-10 for a small bag.

  151. jessica says:

Love the little bags. I would pay up to 10 for a little bag and 15 for a bigger one.

  152. Hilary says:

I think about $12-20 depending on size/construction and fabrics used

Thanks for the chance to win- the.ant.hil(at)gmail(dot)com

  153. Robyn says:

If I am going to a craft fair just to look, my budget is very low…like $20 or less. If I am going with certian items I want to get, then it will go up from there. In general, I try not to buy things unless actually I need them.

Thanks for the giveaway! Robyn (dot) Geddes (at) gmail (dot) com

  154. Leanna says:

I don’t think I would do $100 on a impulse…usually go with a gift or two in mind no more than $20 or $30 each.

  155. billiemick says:

I’m an impulse buyer. I do not plan my spending to my DHs horror….grin. For the zipper pouch probably up to $15 or $16. it’s sure cute!

I don’t have a budget and usually buy on impulse at craft fairs. I would pay $20 for a zipper pouch that was well made with quality fabrics.

  158. scrapperdeb says:

i’d say $10 for a small zippered pouch. If it was more, I’d just ooh and aah but not buy. And I don’t usually have a budget for craft shows…if I see it and like it I’ll think about it and then buy it. But over $100 wouldn’t be something I’d buy without it being a planned purchase. i’d love to win your giveaway.

  159. I always buy on impulse! Lol.

  160. Kayla says:

This is really cute. I don’t sew and I don’t do craft fairs so I can’t answer either one of your questions..sorry!

  161. Kim Elliott says:

I think I would spend around $10 on a small zippered pouch at a craft fair. Maybe more depending on size and construction.

  162. Joy says:

When I go to craft fairs I wouldn’t think twice about spending $8 – $10 on something cute like your pouches but anything higher than $10 and I typically think “I can make that” and move on. Thanks for the chance to enter your giveaway.

  163. JenniferB says:

when I go to craft bazaars I try to budget and watch but I love to look

  164. Anne says:

    I love these!

I buy on impulse, but I have a hard time buying things I could make myself.

  165. Mary says:

Great giveaway! I’m an impulse buyer, but I have to really like the item and feel that it’s fairly priced. I’d probably spend up to $10-$15 on a zippered pouch.

  166. Garilyn says:

I agree with a previous post that designer fabrics do not do better at craft shows. Most of the people that are there to buy usually don’t know the difference. It’s those of us there to get ideas and see what the competition is making that know the difference. That said, depending on the size, I would think $5-6 for the small and $8-12 for a larger one.
I usually don’t plan/budget to spend high $s at craft fairs, but I also know that I could make most of it myself! Good luck!

  169. Jen B says:

My budget depends on how much spending money is left for the month and on who I’m buying for. We budget for gifts, so that’s always a consideration.

  170. Anne says:

I do not budget. I buy on impulse, but I am pretty selective. I would spend a lot on one thing if it were really special. I would price those zipper bags at around $12, but it depends on the size and complexity as well as the geographical location of the fair.

  171. kao says:

I dont set a budget, per say, but I would only spend the cash in my wallet. It would never be more than $150. If the item was right, i could see myself spending a large amout on one thing…and then just not telling my husband!

  172. Kimmer says:

I usually bring cash to a craft fair… and try to keep it around $40-60. I would spend maybe $10-15 for a little zippered pouch like these… they’re very pretty! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  173. Marcia W. says:

I do not go with a budget to a craft fair. Would pay $6 to $12 for a zipper pouch depending on the size and embellishments, and of course, whether I liked it or adored it. Thanks for the giveaway. I enjoy surprises. mlwright29 (at) hotmail (dot) com

  174. SS Sews says:

I would probably pay $6-8, if it was more I would probably decide to just make it myself, even though zippers aren’t my favorite thing to sew.
    Yours do look very nice

  175. Skooks says:

Hmm . . . good question. I don’t really go to craft fairs at all so I have no clue what the prices are, but if it was a small pouch, maybe $8-$10. Is that way too low? I have no idea.

  176. Fabi says:

Hi I will say that spending $100 for one thing is to much usually for the most I have a budget of $30. or a zipper pouch I think $15 is good price. thanks

  177. Courtney says:

I sometimes buy on impulse, but I have a rule! I must walk away first and think about it for at least 10 minutes, and then I return to buy “on implse!” Haha! For a pouch I would spend up to $15 on it if it was cute & well-made which I now yours would be after viewing your work! Thanks for a great giveaway! So blessed…
